Kendal Leisure Centre

Fantastic experience: Only use the swimming pool. Some people moaned it was too cold. But for me it was ideal. I don't want to come out of a swimming pool sweating.

Fantastic experience: Just joined the gym, Ive tried two classes so far and thoroughly enjoyed both. The instructors were great, I was also shown how to use equipment by another very patient Instructor. The whole place is very clean and the staff very helpful and kind. Really pleased with my choice of gym.

Fantastic experience: Went there first time today. First time for a long time in any gym and was surprised how polite, helpful and professional the team on site is. They made us feel welcome. Equipment is solid and plenty enough for everyone. Sauna is great. It feels great to be back. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely can't fault the staff in this place. They have been doing an amazing job all things considered through Covid etc. They have been so helpful and friendly. My little boy Absolutely loves his swimming lessons too.

Fantastic experience: Painful cortisone injections in both knees in the NHS section of the site, but excellent help at the friendly reception desk and free parking! That's a first at a Council site!

Fantastic experience: Our experience watching Jimmy Carr here was fantastic. I was completely unsure of what to expect, having usually visited theatres for this kind of event, but the leisure centre wowed me and was perfect on the night. The bar was reasonable and was well-staffed, meaning we didn’t have to queue. The staff themselves were helpful and polite. Our seats were brilliant (tiered), but we decided that there was no seats in the hall that weren’t - the view from everywhere was great. The sound was brill, and Mr. Carr himself was unbelievable, as expected. However, the whole intimacy of the venue was what I loved the most. There’s just something about seeing a live performance in a smaller hall that feels more personal. I’d totally recommend this place!

Fantastic experience: Staff really make this place, they were very patient and helpful. Toddler pool was a delight for our 20 months old. Clean facilities and totally recommended for families with toddlers.

Positive experience: Great to watch new films I travelled up to watch 14 peaks and wow. But nothing on the ticket said about two different places. So be careful to allow time if in wrong place as was 15min walk, luckily everyone done the same thing so they delayed the start.

Positive experience: Went swimming. Pretty basic, no flumes or anything and wager was a bit chilly but not bad.. DONT FORGET TO TAKE A POUND!!

Fantastic experience: Don't want to leave a bad review, as the centre itself is great. But Better (the people who run it) have taken two lots of payments from myself for swim sessions that were subsequently cancelled and stated it's non-refundable. Tried emailing and calling but just get through to an automated voicemail. Shame really as it's such a good place.

Fantastic experience: We actually went to see Milton Jones. It was a good venue. Everything was clean. There was adequate parking. I obviously didnt try out any fitness activities because, well, I was watching Milton. As you're asking, yes, he was good.

Fantastic experience: Aug 2020, visited during Covid. How amazing are the staff here, other than wrapping me up in cotton wool I don't think they could of made me feel any more at ease or safer. Place was also Immaculately clean. The showers are super powerful and there is a handy little costume dryer in the changing rooms.. Thank you Kendal leisure centre and all the staff..

Fantastic experience: Came here to the Wool show they were holding. Great place for the event, with the number of people visiting it was nice that it wasn't overheating as can often happen. There was plenty of room for the stand holders and plenty of room for the visitors to browse. Look forward to another visit for another event.

Fantastic experience: Exhibited at an exhibition here, we'll located, good parking, 5 minute walk to the centre of town, staff very helpful.

Fantastic experience: The centre has recently been renovated as it's still a vibrant and well used facility. The pool is 25m long and little bit nippy but soon you'll appreciate it as you heat up, the shrared changing rooms and showers are warm afterwards... and they still have one of those swimming costume spinners.

Fantastic experience: Kendal leisure centre offers all sort of sports there is always something going on for families. Gym well staffed training programme can be made for individuals people as must if in area.
