Pre-School classes serve as a natural progression from our Parent and Toddler sessions. The preschool programme is designed to develop fundamental physical skills like balance and co-ordination in a small but stimulating group.

All new gymnasts will begin their gymnastics journey in these classes. The classes are specifically designed to improve fundamental movements and develop key areas such as balance, strength, co-ordination and flexibility.

Participants have the opportunity to learn skills on all pieces of apparatus (Vault, Bars, Beam and Floor, Parallel bars, Pommel and Rings). There is a huge emphasis on enjoyment and learning skills in a socially exciting environment.

Our Freestyle Gymnastics class, also known as Free Running, aims to develop confidence amongst our participants whilst running, jumping, striding and vaulting over various obstacles and heights.

The main focus of this class is self discovery in a fun and safe environment – soft play equipment is widely used to achieve this. The class finishes with a little singing section to children’s favourite action nursery rhymes.

Penzance Gymnastics Club runs a Direct Debit scheme where parents set up the monthly fees via Direct Debit. Account details are available via our admin team.

Typically all sessions are an hour long unless coaches have specifically invited your child to attend longer. Longer sessions are usually offered to members who show more advanced skills that the 1 hour program offers.

Once we have spaces available, everybody on the waiting list is emailed the spaces and first responders to the email get first places. It really is a race against the key board.
