Fantastic experience: Such a beautiful and kind place. Our family want to give a big Thankyou to both girls called Amy and a gent called jack and the other male worker. My mum had a fall outside the gym on Monday 22nd august and the lovely lady called Amy sat and waited with my mum and comforted her in the rain which is beyond her reach. We are entirely greatful for the efforts of the colleagues and hope that they get the credit they deserve! This will be an unforgettable act of kindness from them and I hope they enjoy the card and chocolates they received!❤️

Fantastic experience: It’s a fantastic gym with superb facilities. A very warm and welcoming environment to work in. Dan the manager is passionate, supportive and a credit to the company. Sarah is ansuperb manager as well. The front of house team and cleaning staff are always approachable, friendly and a pleasure to work alongside. Jessica, Kieran and the other personal trainers are lovely. I’d definitely recommend to anyone thinking or considering a personal trainer role to work here. If you want to exercise with access to state of the art equipment then look no further at Chester Total Fitness.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I have been members since Jan 22. Good bits Large car park. Good variety of classes. Masses of equipment in several locations. Damaged and broken machines are repaired. Good pools including one with lanes. Pleasant cafe. Well maintained changing rooms with lockers where you use your own padlock. Not so good. Some classes can be noisy, and the noisy participants are unchallenged. Classes fill up very quickly online. Gyms can be very busy and hence not all equipment is available. Too few of some sizes of dumbbell. Overall, very pleased.

Fantastic experience: Positive: Communication The staff at Total fitness are friendly and helpful. The experience I have going to the gym is the highlight of my day. It is a positive experience and high quality service. The gym is great for psychological and physical well being.

Positive experience: I've been a member for 2 years now and it has never been overly friendly, but I don't mind as I'm happy to just crack on. However the main reason for my low rating is that the weights are always left in such a mess, of all the gyms I've attended in my life, this is the most expensive and the least organised. Would be good if members cleaned equipment after use also. The pool facilities are great, and I like the variety of classes.

Positive experience: Pool is lovely but needs to be cleaned more regularly. Has ridiculous over time parking charges but there's ample space below

Fantastic experience: Originally 3/5: Good swimming facilities. Clean. Nice staff. Disappointing that closing time has been brought forward by 30 minutes with no communication to members about it. I think this happened on reopening after first lockdown also. Puts me off continuing membership after the commitment period is over - especially given they're failed to respond to my query regarding this. Nov '21, 5/5 - Hours now back to normal. Good value for money.

Steam room was the steamiest Ive experienced Hydro Spa pool is on its own on/off timer..diffrent to others that have indervidual buttons. Nice big windows with plenty of natural daylight over looking upper carpark and front aspect from pool. Changing areas, lobby, shower and poolside etc all very clean.

Fantastic experience: Best place in the North West to train and the swimming is phenominal. All staff very competent and knowledgeable in their profession. All go above and beyond their duties to give you a great experience. All facilities clean and covid secure to give you confidence to access all the equipment.

Fantastic experience: A really good gym in my opinion, decent equipment and has a massive car park. The equipment is pretty good, decent free weights and machines and even at peak hours you should be able to get onto the machines you need. Most of the members are all very friendly, and even the ones who look like they are having anabolic steroids for breakfast are all very nice if you ever speak with them. The changing rooms are great, there are saunas within the changing rooms for men and women. The pool is huge. The steam room is tiny, but the main sauna is big. The kids' pool is great, we often take our toddler here. There are lots of classes but often booked fairly full, but if you book them in advance, you are fine - also a lot of times I just turn up and join in if there is a space, the instructors are all very accommodating. There is a limit as to how long you can stay in the car park, but if you are intending on staying longer than 3 hours (god knows who works out for that long), you can always input your car reg into the computer so you won't get a fine. All in all, we are happy here :)

Fantastic experience: I was a member for 3 years whilst living in Chester, and the friendly staff made my experience at the top facility in Chester so much better. If you're looking for a place with great pool and other facilities with wide range of activities, would highly recommend the Total Fitness gym!

Fantastic experience: Very well-equipped gym, recently enhanced by watt bikes, a synergy 360 rig and ski ergs (haven't seen those yet but they are on the way). Great pool which is rarely busy and the facilities are kept very clean by friendly staff. Recommended.

Fantastic experience: This gym has great facilities and a wide variety of classes for all abilities. I’ve been going here for 10 years and although it was starting to look a bit rough round the edges the recent refurb of the changing facilities really fixed that issue. Friendly staff and service. Possibly a bit pricey but worth every penny if you’re committed enough to go regularly!

Fantastic experience: This gym provides for so many age groups. Brilliant small pool for young children learning to swim and excellent for disabled with steps. Great big pool and sumptuous hydrotherapy pool with plenty of space and wide range of jets. Steam room, sauna and sannarium as well as added bonus of a sauna in the ladies changing room. Usual paraphernalia of a busy gym with equipment galore, popular classes but without pretentious posing!

Fantastic experience: If you're looking for a friendly gym where everyone is welcome, then the Total Fitness gym in Chester is ideal for you. The staff here are super friendly and helpful, while the coaches / trainers in the classes know their stuff. The member-base is very diverse with a significant mixture of ages and fitness levels. The facilities are decent and the changing rooms have recently received a really nice refurbishment. I personally use the swimming pool and spa area more than anything, both do the job well and are kept clean.
