I went to Andy after having a knee issue whilst running. He quickly diagnosed the problem and then underwent a thorough physical therapy plan with me, with both soft tissue work, assisted body weight movement and exercises to complete at home. He was realistic about my goals and worked with me to get me back to fitness. Really impressed with his professionalism, personal, friendly manner and attention to detail. Made going to see him really enjoyable, even if the rehab was painful!! Would recommend to anybody who needs a some attention with a sports injury.

I had a personal training session with Andy. It was brilliant because I felt like I'd had an all body work out which made me feel refreshed! Thank you Andy, it was a really fantastic personal training session, conveniently in the centre of Manchester. See you again soon!

Andy is the best trainer I have ever used. He is knowledgeable and will devise the right programme for you whether you just wish to get fit/lose weight, recover from an injury or train for a marathon.

Fantastic experience: Andy is a great personal trainer. No one else has ever managed to motivate me to train! Andy is friendly and very knowledgeable about both nutrition and exercise and the personal training gym is great if you don't like training in front of other people or waiting for machines.

Fantastic experience: Pro Balance is a gorgeous little gem on a little side-road near Manchester's St Peter's Square. Andy is an awesome, friendly guy who pushes you to your limit without falling into the category of torture master. A lovely gym!

Fantastic experience: Having got back into attempting to get some level of fitness back I contacted Andy to find out what he could do for me. The approach was to get back into it slowly and he suggested his circuit classes. I have been going down on a Thursday and Sunday and I am already noticing the improvements in fitness and more importantly core strength. Andy and his team dont allow you to push yourself too hard, whilst still giving your the encouragement and push in the right direction. 110% recommended for anyone looking for a no nonsense approach to fitness !!!

Fantastic experience: I started training with Andy at Probalance in 2011 to prepare for an endurance cycle event. As a former elite athlete Andy was able to provide training which was tailored to my specific event as well as improving my general fitness. I successfully completed the event and I have been training with Andy ever since. It is now an essential part of my fitness regime and the sessions consistently push me. The sessions are always tough but fun. Andy is very flexible about fitting me in around work commitments.

Fantastic experience: When I first started with Andy, my goal was simple. I just wanted to get fitter so I could keep up with the kids & enjoy racing round after them. I could have joined a gym for this, but with 2 young kids I know that it would be just too easy to find an excuse not to go. With Andy there are no excuses, he helps keep me motivated and makes me feel that I can do it. I never cancel a class unless I'm ill, I've gone when I've only had a few hours sleep and still managed a good work out, there is no way I could do that alone. I enjoy my time with Andy and I am achieving my goals of increasing my fitness and strength, I would definitely recommend giving Pro Balance a try!

Fantastic experience: I was part of the 6 week strength and conditioning programme. As a complete beginner it was great being part of a small group learning how to use the weights correctly. I am no longer intimidated or embarrassed in the gym and have implemented weight training into my workouts. I have now got back into going to the gym as it is so much more enjoyable! Fantastic experience: Fantastic personal training, fitness and and physiotherapy services. Helps keep me in good physical shape to take part in lots of different sports. Has been an invaluable service for me over the years when I have needed help recovering well from sporting injuries.

Fantastic experience: I have known Andy for nearly a year now. He rather foolishly took me on to train me for the BUPA Manchester 10k! I could not have done it without him. His enthusiasm for everything he gets involved with is incredible. He just oozes confidence and personality and is always so passionate about his work. Andy is a fantastic personal trainer and is very enthusiastic and certainly motivated me to exercise which is a feat in itself! He is a master at making people feel at ease when in his company with his very down to earth approach and what he doesn't know about personal training, exercise and nutrition is not worth knowing. thanks Fran

Fantastic experience: I've been doing Andy's strength & conditioning circuit class for a number of years now, and it has improved my strength and fitness enormously, and has really helped me with running, cycling and avoiding injuries. The classes are designed to continously push what you can do week on week, with plenty of advice and motivation from Andy

Fantastic experience: Andy is a superb & really knowledgable personal trainer. Am thrilled with how my all round fitness has progressed. Classes are enjoyable & friendly. Each block of classes is so well put together, progressively pushing you until you achieve easily (well more easily!) what was tough just a few weeks ago. Fantastic experience: Andy at Pro Balance has been training me since 2003. I am 73 years old and during this time I have been Deputy Mayor and Mayor of Stockport. I am a retired Consultant Clinical Endocrinologist and have some musculo-skeletal issues that Andy has been working with. As a healthcare professional, I have every confidence in Andy's treatments of my problems. He even managed to start me running 5k and 10k races for charity at the age of 66. For a personal and highly qualified and knowledgeable training experience, I could not recommend Pro Balance more

Positive experience: I booked a class (bootcamp) through MagnaPass, advertised for the 27th of August, but they wrote me that the class will not take place, and only offered me the option to change it for the 28th. I had to spend time complaining in MagnaPass. By the way the class continued being advertised the whole day. I am very sorry of having to write this review. I really couldnt try their services.

Fantastic experience: Amazing gym that give you a true 1 to 1 personal training session. Andy is extremely knowledgeable about all areas of fitness but also rehab so you can workout and have those aches and niggling injuries sorted at the same time
