Started with Rich around 10 weeks ago, during that time and by following his advice I have lost over 3 stone(42lbs)!! Having had arthritis for very many years which resulted in a double knee replacement and taking a ridiculous amount of tablets daily for this condition I am now taking a fraction of the amount prescribed by my G.P. My G.P. can’t get over the change and is very impressed. I would certainly recommend Richard to anyone.

I had lost my way training wise after the death of my beloved older brother and was struggling with stress and anxiety. I joined one of Richards groups and...I haven’t looked back since. I feel fitter and happier than I have in a long time and I’ve also lost inches and pounds. What I really love about Rich is he says it like it is and he cares for his clients. I can be a bit “gung ho” when it comes to training and Rich reins that in to make sure I stay fit and uninjured. Richard has changed my life for the better and that’s no exaggeration.

You helped me a great deal after my knee injury as I was not confident in doing any exercise incase I aggravated the injury. The exercise plan you did for me was great, very simple but effective. You were also very encouraging and very good at motivating me. Thanks

Having been quite seriously ill and knowing a few of the girls who have been supported by Rich, it has taken my nearly two years to join his program. (Due to ill health)

I am just coming up to my first twelve weeks, have lost weight, changed body shape but the greatest bit is me! How I feel and my mindset. Having been in a wheelchair back in October. I am back to my old self ...and have never felt happier than I do at the minute. My sessions with Richard are ...my treatment to save my life whilst having fun, through hard work with the great support from Richard covering what to eat, how to exercise tailored specifically to me. He even listens when I am I want to let off steam! What more could you ask for...

Following a motorcycle accident, Richard Clarke sped up my recovery by taking me through a rehabilitation programme. Impressed with his professionalism and knowledge, I then took part in several 3 month fitness programmes...looking back, one of the biggest benefits was how Richard analysed my diet and changed it for the good...this knowledge is priceless. Fantastic experience: I signed up with Richard for a 12 week programme. I'd had baby number 2 and a c-section and didn't know where to start with getting back into shape as I'd been huge when pregnant and I ended up having a little boy of 9lb 3 so you can imagine I was pretty big at the end. After I had him I was over 70 kilos and I really didn't know what to do about my stomach as it was looking quite bloated and the muscles felt like they were really separated. Well some of those kilos went quite quickly but I was stuck at 65 kilos and really I want to be 54/55 kilos. I didn't want to end up doing crunches and then just ending up with a strong pot belly. I thought it was the best thing to get some advice because you don't get any advice at all from the NHS after the C-Section other than 'just don't exercise for 6 weeks etc'. I'd done a search on google for trainers in Swansea and to be honest a lot of people came up and some of their credentials seemed a bit dubious. Even when I'm looking for work I see ads like 'become a fitness trainer in 6 weeks' and I think with the whole fat loss/fitness thing there's a lot of people just jumping on it. Well obviously I wasn't after that and I liked the fact that Rich wasn't trying to promote himself like a local celebrity or anything and really he seemed very respected with the sports community. Well gut instinct payed off because I can 100% say that Rich is the real deal. He really knows his stuff. He's on the ball with all the new developments in fat loss/exercise/sports science and his fitness programmes are made for you rather than being a one size fits all solution. So you are never going to injure yourself or do stuff that you can't keep up with. He's really supportive and motivates you brilliantly and I just feel I learned so much. Before I had my babies I liked running and I'd been pretty healthy eating but I can honestly say that I'd never figured out how you can get nutrition and exercise to work perfectly together. Now I think I'll not put on loads of weight again (unless I have baby number 3!) because I know exactly how to keep the weight off. Rich will change the way you think as well as help you to get strong and fit and you will end up following a lifestyle for yourself that will make you positive and happy. If you have a busy schedule, kids etc then Rich will also show you quick but powerful exercises that you can do in 10 or 20 minutes a day so you can be sure you can keep up with it. Just brilliant if you are busy and can't spend hours at the gym and just as effective too. At the end of my 12 weeks I was weighing 58 kilos. And now a further 6 weeks later I'm down to 56 and into my pre-pregnancy stuff and feeling great. If you are reading this because you are thinking of signing up with Rich then I say go for it you definitely won't be disappointed and he's also a top genuine guy. Thanks

Fantastic experience: I started in July 2020 and am loving the whole experience. The small group classes are great - lots of choices to make things easier or more challenging. Coaches are incredibly supportive and the atmosphere is always positive and welcoming. Losing weight is the bonus on top of feeling so much healthier and fitter. I have never been a gym person or particularly fit, but have found this has suited my lifestyle perfectly. The diet plan is flexible and you can have as much help as you want from your coach. I have found the support I've been given has been excellent and enough to keep me on track. It's always based on positivity and what you can do - not what you can't. COVID-wise - I feel perfectly safe with the measures put in place. Guidance is always followed, with updated information posted on the FB group. Always hand-sanitiser and wipes available. I am so pleased that I made the application to join. I have gone from feeling very nervous about joining to looking forward to every session. I can see and feel the progress I have made and am looking forward to continuing on this pathway.

Fantastic experience: I started at the Birchgrove gym late last year, having previously had back problems I wanted to strengthen my core muscles to help with my back. The classes have been excellent and I now have more confidence to do things that I wouldn't attempt because of my back. I have lost 9lbs and 5 inches off my waist which is a big help also. The instructors are great and very mindful of the issues I have and make sure that I'm OK during my excercises. I can't thank you enough for the help you are giving me. Shelley

Fantastic experience: The Trainers are so friendly and really want you to succeed. Any problems they are quick to help you resolve them. I highly recommend them a very safe environment with all safety measures put in place during this difficult time of the pandemic. You can feel safe with them.

Fantastic experience: Very motivational. Looking forward to getting fit and slim. The emphasis is on food and food preparation rather than doing any exercise other than the 3 sessions a week we'll do with a trainer. Can't wait to go shopping tomorrow so that I can get started

Fantastic experience: I suffered a back injury back in January which resulted in nerve compression. For months i struggled to walk and had a lot of back pain and stiffness. Tablets from the doctor did next to nothing and then I heard that a sports massage could help so i looked online for someone who was experienced in this treatment, which is where i came across Richards website. At my appointment Richard spent 15 minutes talking about my condition and getting all the relevant details before starting the treatment. He is very focused on getting you the best treatment and puts you first before talking about money....i think there are a lot of people out there who treat people only because it makes them money...Richard is definitely not one of those people and he puts your interests first After receiving the sports massage my back felt instantly a lot better and then Richard gave advice on using a foam roller on my legs and back. I also visited his colleague Chris Miller who provided me with a stretching program. Within a month of foam rolling and stretching my back was pain free! The advice given by them both was second to none! I now continue to use the foam roller every other day and do my stretches daily. I can now say that i am back in the gym, have managed to climb Pen y Fan and have taken up hiking. These are things i would never have been able to do before the treatment and advice given by both Richard and Chris, i cant thank them enough! If anyone needs any advice/treatment relating to sports injuries then i would look no further than picking up the phone and booking an appointment with these guys.....they know what they are talking about Onwards and upwards!
